Sarcom provides comments on the internet society. Just like xkcd the primary goal is expressing myself and not creating beautiful drawings so we’ll stick to the stickmen.
Who am I?
My name is Renzo Verleysen, I’m the head of UIC Phoenxsoftware and projectleader of OpenSource projects such as LockPhix, SpeedShut and project leader of the proprietary Blastgen Antivirus project. I am 18 years old and still at school where I fill my days studying Applied Computer Science at the University Association of Gent in Belgium. I also studied Latin-Languages for 4 years and 2 years of Economy-Languages. So I’m fascinated by archaic languages, science, technology and economy and to a lower degree mathematics, which you will also see in my comics. I also have a mediocre skill in webdesign and graphics design.
How did sarcom come to being?
I discovered xkcd and those comics have showed me that you don’t need specific drawing talent to draw comics which express your opinion. I used to be an active debater but I quitted because I got carried away too much and comics are much easier for people to accept than “You guys suck ass, get a life”.
